Introduction: Mathematics is the basis of natural science, which is a subject to study the mathematical theory and apply it to other related subjects. The major of Mathematics and applied mathematics is the primary mathematical major for the undergraduate to learn the mathematical knowledge and then to apply it to solve the related problems in the mathematics or related subjects. It aims to cultivate the advanced special talents who have logic-thinking-in-mathematics training, masters the foundation of mathematical theories and methods, are able to use mathematical knowledge to solve problems in mathematics and related fields and own higher scientific research quality.

Core Courses: Mathematical analysis, Advanced algebra, Analytical geometry, Probability and mathematical statistics, Ordinary differential equation, Mathematical modeling, Equation of mathematical physics, Complex analysis, Real analysis, Functional analysis, Differential geometry.

Major Job opportunities: Purse a graduate degree in top universities and research institutes home and abroad, or find jobs in the well-known companies such as Huawei, bank of China and others.

Data: In the last five years, we have total 402 undergraduate students, and among them, 172 continued the study as a graduate student, and 216 found jobs in industry and others.
