Prof. Goong Chen received his Bachelor degree from National Tsing Hua University and both Master and Ph.D degree from University of Wisconsin. Currently, he works as a full-time professor in the Mathematics department at Texas A&M University. Prof. Chen has very wide research interests, including but not limit to control theory of differential equation, variation Mechanics, quantum computing, chaos, and large-scale scientific computing. Up to now, he has published over 150 high quality research papers as well as 10 monographs, received over 8m research funds, and given over 200 presentations or invited talks. He is also the member of both American Mathematical Society and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the editor or the associate editor of several world-famous journals, including Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, International Journal on Quantum Information, Physica Scripta and Electronic Journal of Differential Equations.
