Abstract     

Switched systems operate byswitching among various modes or subsystems. This talk considers optimalcontrol problems governed by switched systems in which the mode dynamics aredescribed by nonlinear differential equations. We cover several corecomputational techniques for solving such problems numerically. These includecontrol parameterization, time-scaling transformation, and the constrainttranscription method. Several examples are discussed.
